With the opening of this thread I hope to be able to discus the possebilities with our overseas friends (how) to join our second Bulldog Weekend in June of this year.
I have already put a reaction on the French site and hope you will answer to this invitation.
@Mick, @John and @Barrie, for writing in this forum you have to become a member. So please join our party !!!

Hi Paul,

like you I have posted in the french forum to get in touch with our friends (to be) from the UK....or whomever might read the thread and feel the urge to join in on the fun..

So if we can get enough people to join maybe we can form a Convoi - after meeting somewhere - and ride together to Glauchau..

If I were to go to the UK, I would feel much more confortable if I had someone with me that knows his way around...

So guys, feel free to drop us a line with whatever questions you might have

Oh, by the way, the joining of this forum - and the membership - doesn´t cost a cent !!

Hi Mick,

We have to be (on thursday the 9th !) at 7.00 am in Nettetal. That's already in Germany, right across the border with Venlo. There we will join the first two German riders. So I think I have to pick you guys up in Eindhoven at about 6.00 am. We will enjoy a "late" breakfast between 9.00 and 10.00 am in Balve, Sauerland. There we shall also meet our "escort", some guys (Axman and Co.) who know their way around in these suroundings.

We have to start riding in Eindhoven a little bit early, otherwise we can't join the rest of the gang, I'm sorry for that. Like I said, the guys we meet in Balve, will escort us over beautiful roads, otherwise we will have to ride the highways (autobahn).

Just give me the name and adress of the hotel where you spend the night and I'll pic you up. You will spend the night in Eindhoven, won't you ?

Last but not least: With how many riders are you uptill now ?

Kind regards, Paul (the little one)

Hi Mick..

there is a map of the route we are planning to take (German Forum, look for "Touren & Treffen" then "Treffen" and there the thread "Anfahrt nach Glauchau")
Trouble is, it starts in Balve, where we were planning to meet you all..! And as Balve is about 150Km´s from the Border (to the Netherlands) I would´nt advise you to take that route alone.... go straight to Glauchau by Autobahn...there at least you can´t get lost.

If you want to see a bit of the Country , ride back with us by the backroads on Sunday.

Hi Mick,

Sorry to hear you are not able to make the trip one day earlier.

At the moment I cross the border with Germany, I'm also a foreigner and have to join a German rider to get further on the small roads. Otherwise I also would have to take the highway (Autobahn) to get to the meetings. Mick, don't take the risk of getting lost and take the Autobahn, like Axman tells you. And he know's his way around in these surroundings as you might notice on our way back on sunday.
See you in Glauchau on friday afternoon !

Regards, Paul

Your German guide....

Beitrag von Paulchen »

Mick,

I think I found you a Guide. Eddie, he lives in Köln, will ride on friday and you can join him if you want.

Eddie told me to meet him at:
1) Autobahnverteiler in Bonn Nord at the gasstation or
2) Autobahnverteiler in Köln Süd.

I hope Axman can tell you where to find these two meetingpoints and maybe he can also make the contact with Eddie.

At your service, Paul

Mick,

The first gasstation (eastern direction), Autobahnverteiler Köln (Cologne)at 8.30 am.

Eddie has written: At each roundabout (distributor) there are two in each case Gas stations, at which one can meet. The A16 from Venlo to Koblenz, at the cross Kerpen the direction Olpe and after 15 km you will find the cross Cologne south (Köln Süd)

Please let me know sone so I can inform Eddie !
