Fuel and oil light when driving

Hello everybody. Let me start by introducing myself.
I’m Jelle, 36 and riding motorcycles since before it was legally allowed. :)
Recently I have bought a Bulldog with Producside sidecar.
The bike has 69.000km on the clock and runs fine, only,
sometimes while driving my oil and fuel light start burning, and the speedo does a full sweep, after the needle returns to zero my
dashboard works like it should. This happens about 3 times in 20km. There’s no real trigger like a certain speed or rev range.
The bike just keeps running fine, so ignition still works fine. So far I have checked the ignitionswitch wiring and the 5Amp fuse,
but I can’t find anything wrong.
Does anybody have an idea what could cause this?
Thanks

Moin,
The capacitor kit may not be installed.
You can find illustrated instructions (German) for self-assembly in the attached PDF.

The capacitor kit is installed, and my tripmeter doesn’t reset when this happens.
Yesterday I’ve checked the wiring in the front and disconnected the negative battery-lead.
When reconnecting I’ve noticed the positive lead was rather loose, maybe this caused it.
Will have to do some driving to test, and I’ll keep you posted.
Thanks

Did about 80km and no more flashing lights! :)
Still weird that the loose cable didn’t cause ignition failure. Anyway, glad this is sorted.
