Hello to all Bulldog owners from Sheffield (South Yorkshire). Just joined this German forum (been on UK forum a while) because I am going to the 9th this year.
Had my dog for nearly 6 years and I think it is one of the best bikes I have ever had (for long/short trips, scratching and the sound). I know there are faster, quicker and bigger machines but I reckoned that they would all be life shortening for me so the dog is a good (excellent) alternative.
Over the years I have modified my dog and added progressive front springs, xenon h/lamp, Renthall bars and lower risers, Virago mirrors, Vario screen, carb conversion, K&N full flow filters, hugger and best of all a pair of BSA Gold Star DBD34 free flowing 'silencers'. Just lashed up a frame to fit Givi top box and two side panniers for the Germany trip.
The dog is not my primary transport but it does get all year round and wet use. It has taken me to Italy and back via Switzerland and to the TT three times (only one other dog on the Island). I generally have a blast round the roads in Derbyshire (Peak District) at the weekend just to feel alive again.
Drop me a line especially if you are going to Germany too. Ade.
