Krock: Side panel removal (Montag 16. März 2015, 20:01)

Ok I give up…… Please forgive me if this seem like a stupid question -How do I remove the right-hand side panel to access the rear brake reservoir? As far as I can see it looks like the tail section needs to be removed to gain access to the rear screw, is this correct??

Thanks

Krock

Hi Krock.

Yes, you have to remove the tail piece to get to the screw that holds the top rear of the side panel to the frame. You can then lift the side panel up and off the two pegs that hold the bottom of the panel.

However, I managed to top-up the rear brake reservoir without removing the side panel by un-screwing the cap and easing it out of the gap at the top of the frame, then topping up the reservoir with a small funnel, and a lot of care!

Thanks Biggles. Looks like 4 screws and a bolt to remove the tail section is that right?

Cheers

Sounds about right. It is a while since I last did it.
