Ive seen EBC carbon version...would you have any opinion on that?

Pawel

I've replaced the friction plates twice on my dog.

The first time at about 15,000 miles because there was a bit of slipping. I just bought the cheapest which happened to be EBC worked fine until I put engine oil in that had a reduce friction coating additive, then the clutch started slipping again.

Flushed the motor (twice) and refilled with a proper semi-synthetic oil/filter then fitted new new friction plates and clutch plates (can't remember the make) again just bought the easiest available at reasonable cost. Oh and don't fall for the clutch springs con, I intended to do a proper job and saw clutch springs listed for the dog so I bought a set. The dog DOESN'T have clutch springs it uses a pressure plate.

It is an easy job to do, good luck.

Cheers

Ade

Thank you for your reply.

Will i play safe in a way and buy OEM then?

I was told once to replace plates between friction plates as well.

Do you think it would be right way to do?

I honestly can't remember what oil with the friction additive it was that I used. I now only use semi-synthetic and change the oil/filter each year but not in 2020 because the dog has not been used at all.

My son and I plus a few others are planning to do the NC500 Scottish tour in Sept/Oct if the virus is sorted out.

Have a happy, healthy and safe New Year and remember loud pipes save lives.
