FinViking: Raising the rear wheel? (Mittwoch 10. Juli 2019, 07:14)

Hello from Finland

I Need to replace rear brake disc and do some maintenance to the caliper since previous owner neglected these. I have this conventional type paddock stand left from my previous bike, and i'm wondering is it safe to jack up bulldog from the swingarm with this (picture)? So far I've had only chaindrive bikes

Seems like this bike did not come with centre stand from the factory? From the looks of it there's option for it (2nd picture). Will definitely be looking to get one in the future.
Many thanks!

Hello to Finland!
Regarding your stand, I don't feel comfortable to give you any recommandations.
But a center stand is still available at https://sw-motech.com/en/bike/YAMAHA/BT1100/2005/RP05/products/safety/stands/centerstand/4052572006993.htm
Maybe you try to ask here at the board first or try eBay.

I know of some guys who hang up their Bulldog in order to perform some work at the rear, but don't remember who was this in specific.

Good luck!

PS:
Have you been in the foggy Finmark recently?

Thanks for the quick reply. Never been to Finnmark!

Found this: http://bulldog-bt1100.de/zubehoer_e.php?action=montagestaender

It seems to be ok place to lift the rear. Now just need some working time with the bike ( have 1 and 3 year olds at home, wife doing 3-shift work )
My bulldog is -05 model. Only few on the market at the moment. Bike seems to be quite rare. I am 4 th owner and bike is originally from Germany :)
